AYD Donates GHS 17,000.00 to Support Asankare Clinic Project

On 27th July 2025, Asankare Youth for Development LBG (AYD) presented GHS 17,000.00 to the Asankare Clinic Building Committee to support the ongoing construction of the community clinic.

This donation was made possible through the contributions of AYD members, who gave not only their money but also their time and energy. Long before the presentation, members were already at the clinic site, fetching water, moulding blocks, carrying materials, and assisting masons with the building work. These efforts came freely and willingly, because AYD believes the health of our community is worth every sacrifice.

The clinic project is one of the most significant self-help initiatives in recent years. Once completed, it will bring easier access to healthcare for the people of Asankare and surrounding communities. AYD is proud to be part of this historic undertaking, joining hands with community leaders, faith groups, and partners who all share the vision of a healthier future.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the committee, the Chairman of the Clinic Building Committee, Mr. Francis Iddrisu thanked AYD for its continued dedication and urged the youth to keep supporting the project with their energies and resources.

The special guest of honour, Nana Ofori Amanfo Diatuo, the Kyidomhene of the Asankare Traditional Council, also commended AYD. He encouraged members to remain focused on their mission and not allow negative voices or discouragement to distract them. He reminded everyone that in this world, good deeds are often overlooked while bad news spreads quickly, and so it is important to continue doing what is right, even when recognition is slow to come.

Speaking at the presentation, Brother Emmanuel Barfour Karikari Amponsah , Treasurer of AYD, said:

“This donation shows what we stand for as young people. We have given our strength, our time, and now our resources to help build the Asankare Clinic. It is our way of proving that development begins with us, and we are ready to play our part.”

This act reflects AYD’s core belief: that real development begins when young people come together with discipline, service, and vision. AYD will continue to support projects that bring hope and a better future to Asankare.
